Strawberry Moon
- On the night of June 10–11, skywatchers across the Northern Hemisphere witnessed the mesmerizing Strawberry Moon, the full moon of June known for its warm, golden glow near the horizon.
- The name "Strawberry Moon" comes from Native American traditions, especially the Algonquin tribes, who named it to mark the peak of strawberry harvesting season — not because of its color.
- This year’s Strawberry Moon coincided with a Major Lunar Standstill, a rare astronomical event that occurs once every 18.6 years, when the moon reaches its most extreme positions in the sky
