79th UN General Assembly (UNGA)
The UNGA 79, held from 10th to 30th September 2024 focused on accelerating progress toward achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- During this, global leaders addressed interconnected challenges and adopted the Pact for the Future, which includes ‘Global Digital Compact’ – highlighting gender equality.
- The 79th session was chaired by Cameroon President Philemon Yong.
