Flight-Tests of Advanced VSHORADS System
On October 3 & 4, 2024, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully conducted three flight tests of the 4th Generation, miniaturized Very Short Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS).
- Location: Pokhran Field Firing Ranges, Rajasthan
- Development: The system was designed and developed indigenously by Research Centre Imarat (RCI) in collaboration with other DRDO laboratories under the Development cum Production Partner (DcPP) mode.
- Tri-Service Participation: The Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force were involved from the initial stages of the project and participated in development trials.
