Global Water Monitor Report 2024

The ‘2024 Global Water Monitor Report’, was released on January 2, 2025 by an international team of researchers from Australian National University (ANU).

  • According to the report, 2024 was hottest year on record; water cycle severely disrupted.
  • Land temp up 1.2°C since 2000, 2.2°C since Industrial era.
  • 38% rise in dry months, 52% rise in extreme rainfall events.
  • Highest warm months frequency since 1979.
