DAANVEER Initiative: Boosting Digital Infrastructure Across India's Gram Panchayats

On 29th July 2026, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) launched DAANVEER, a technology-enabled citizen participation initiative to strengthen the digital infrastructure of Gram Panchayats.

What is DAANVEER?

  • Institutional Framework: It is a technology-enabled institutional framework and citizen participation platform designed to strengthen the digital infrastructure of Gram Panchayats across India.
  • Tagline: Give Back to Your Village.

Objectives

  • Bridge digital infrastructure gaps across nearly 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats.
  • Transform Panchayats into digitally equipped and future-ready service delivery centres.
  • Promote citizen participation and community-led rural development in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat.
