RSVC-AMRIT: Bridging Rural Needs with Science and Technology

On 15th August 2026, the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India launched RSVC-AMRIT.

What is RSVC-AMRIT?

  • Digital Backbone: It is the digital backbone of the RuTAGe Smart Village Centre (RSVC) ecosystem.
    • It connects rural requirements with innovators, startups, scientific institutions and technology providers.
  • Developed by:National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) in collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (OPSA).
  • Aim: To strengthen rural innovation and accelerate the adoption of appropriate technologies.
  • Technology-transfer Lifecycle: The platform covers the complete technology-transfer lifecycle, including:
    • Technology discovery and validation
    • Deployment and adoption tracking
    • Collaboration among stakeholders
    • Monitoring and evaluation
    • Knowledge management
