Two New ‘Bio-Warrior’ Species Discovered

In February 2026, researchers from the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), along with international experts, discovered two new marine worm species in the polluted coastal regions of Digha and Bankiput in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, highlighting hidden biodiversity in the Bay of Bengal.
