The UN Environment Programme’s latest report, “An Eye on Methane: From Measurement to Momentum,” warns that despite progress in tracking emissions, global action on methane reduction remains insufficient.
- Methane, the second-largest contributor to global warming after carbon dioxide, requires urgent mitigation to meet the Global Methane Pledge target of a 30% reduction by 2030.
