The Threat of Invasive Species

Recently, the chital deer population inhabiting Bose Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands has surpassed the island's ecological limits, leading the Andaman and Nicobar Forest Department to contemplate transferring approximately 500 deer to a Biological Park situated in Port Blair.

Defining Invasive Alien Species
