The United Nations (UN) has issued global alert to combat severe sand and dust storms (SDS) in the wake of a significant rise in their frequency and severity in recent years.
Sand and Dust Storms are defined as storms caused by intense winds over areas of arid soil that pick up large amounts of ground material in the atmosphere.
