Recently, the wars in Ukraine and Lebanon have highlighted the growing use of fibre-optic drones, a new generation of drones that remain largely immune to electronic warfare and jamming systems.

What are Fibre-Optic Drones?

  • Drones connected to their operators through fibre-optic cables instead of radio-frequency (RF) signals.
  • Fibre-optic cables transmit data as light pulses through ultra-thin strands of glass or plastic.
