France to Recognise Palestinian State at UN in September
On 24th July 2025, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France will formally recognise the State of Palestine at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in September 2025, making it the first major Western nation to take this step.
- France President confirmed the decision in a letter to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, committing to a “just and lasting peace in the Middle East.”
