About the SDR
- Launched in 2016; tracks SDG progress across all 193 UN Member States.
- 2025 edition uses 200,000+ data points to generate 200+ country and regional profiles.
- Authored by independent experts from the SDG Transformation Center (SDSN initiative).
Key Messages and Findings
Strong Global Commitment to the SDGs
- 190 of 193 UN Member States have participated in Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs).
- Also includes European Union and State of Palestine.
- Only 3 countries (Haiti, Myanmar, USA) have not submitted VNRs.
East and South Asia Lead in SDG Progress
- Region has shown fastest SDG progress since 2015, especially in socioeconomic targets.
