Artificial Intelligence in Mineral Exploration
- On 10th December 2025, the Rajasthan government signed two important agreements on the occasion of “Pravasi Rajasthan Divas.”
- These agreements aim to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) into mineral exploration.
- The initiative marks the beginning of a new era in the state’s mining sector, with Rajasthan collaborating with two national institutions—IIT Hyderabad and IIT ISM Dhanbad.
- Under this initiative, the Rajasthan State Mineral Exploration Trust (RSMET) signed agreements:
- With IIT Hyderabad for data sharing and joint research work
- With IIT ISM Dhanbad for scientific evaluation of mine waste and residues in the state
