Toy Manufacturing Policy, 2025
- On 7th December 2025, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced the Toy Manufacturing Policy 2025 at the “TN Rising Investment Conclave” in Madurai.
- The policy aims to attract leading domestic and international companies and revive the state’s centuries-old traditional toy-making crafts.
- Madurai’s Vilacheri clay toys remain one of the most prominent centres of terracotta toy-making.
- Ambasamudram in Tirunelveli is renowned for lacquered wooden toys, including:
- Miniature musical instruments
- Baby walkers
- Kitchen toy sets
- The famous Thanjavur Thalayatti Bommai, already GI-tagged, remains a symbol of Tamil Nadu’s handcrafted ....
