How can the role of the Election Commission be strengthened in India, for reinforcing the democratic structure of the country?
Answer: The Indian Constitution requires the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure free and fair elections. Article 324 states that the Indian Election Commission supervises, directs, and controls all elections for Parliament, State legislatures, and the President and Vice-President.
