Grey Rhino Event

  • On 13th September 2025, the report “Sliding Earth, Scattered Lives” highlighted the Mundakkai-Chooralmala landslides as a ‘grey rhino event’.
  • A grey rhino event refers to a highly probable, high-impact disaster that is often ignored despite visible warning signs.
