1. प्रत्येक खण्ड से कम से कम दो प्रश्नों का चयन करते हुए कुल पाँच प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिए।
2. सभी प्रश्नों के अंक समान हैं।

1. Answer five questions in all selecting at least two from each section.
2. All questions carry equal marks.

खण्ड-अ (Section-A)

1. नवीन खोजों के प्रकाश में हड़प्पा संस्कृति की उत्पत्ति और कर्तृत्व का विवेचना कीजिये।
   Discuss the genesis and authorship of the Harappa culture in the light of recent findings.
2. ऋग्वैदिक समाज का पुनर्निर्माण कीजिए। क्या उसमें किसी तरह का विकास दिखाई देता है?
   Reconstruct the Rigvedic Society. Does it show any evolution?
3. 'अशोक के अभिलेख पढ़ने में उसकी आत्मकथा जैसे लगते हैं।' टिप्पणी कीजिये।
   "The inscriptions of Asoka read like his autobiography.' Comment.
4. निम्नलिखित का विवेचन कीजिये :
   (अ) महायान का उदय तथा महत्व।
   (ब) भारतीय सामंतवाद का उदय तथा महत्व।
   Discuss the following:
   (a) Rise of Mahayana and its significance.
   (b) Rise of Indian feudalism & its significance.

खण्ड-ब (Section-B)

5. भारतीय समाज और सभ्यता के सम्बन्ध में अल्बिरूनी का क्या दृष्टिकोण है?
   How does Al-Biruni view the Indian society and civilization?
6. सल्तनत कालीन स्थापत्य-कला की प्रमुख विशेषताओं का विवरण दीजिये।
   Give an account of the salient features of architecture during sultanate period.
7. "औरंगजेब, सम्भवतः, सभी मुगल शासकों में सबसे योग्य था।"समीक्षा कीजिये।
   "Aurangzeb was, perhaps, the ablest of the Mughal rulers". Analyse.
8. निम्नलिखित के महत्त्व का निरूपण कीजिए :
   (अ) अंग्रेजों की भारत विजय।
   (ब) पानीपत का तृतीय युद्ध (1761)।
   Discuss the significance of the following:
   (a) British conquests of India.
   (b) Third battle of Panipat (1761).
