DRDO Tests Indigenous Air Droppable Container ADC-150
Between 21 February and 1 March 2026, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Navy successfully conducted four in-flight release trials of the Air Droppable Container ADC-150.
What is the Air Droppable Container (ADC-150)?
- An indigenously developed aerial delivery system for naval logistics.
- Designed to air-drop supplies to ships operating in the high seas.
- Capable of delivering a 150-kg payload under extreme release conditions.
- Uses a parachute-based delivery mechanism for safe descent.
