The 47th ASEAN Summit was held from 26 to 28 October 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

  • Timor-Leste's Accession: Timor-Leste was officially admitted as the 11th full member of ASEAN, a major milestone in the bloc's expansion.
  • Kuala Lumpur Peace Accord: A landmark peace agreement was signed between Cambodia and Thailand to resolve long-standing border conflicts.
  • Digital Economy Pact: Leaders concluded the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA), the world's first major regional digital economy pact.
