Inauguration of First Skill India Centre in Odisha

On 20th February, 2024, Union Minister inaugurated the first Skill India Centre in Sambalpur, Odisha.
- The Centre aims to empower over 1200 students in demand-driven industries.
- It offers low-cost courses to democratize access to quality education for aspiring youth.
- The initiative aligns with PM vision of empowering youth with new-age skills.
- Trades offered include Media & Entertainment, Leather, Tourism & Hospitality, and IT-ITeS.
- The Centre is equipped with modern infrastructure and technologies to catalyze skill development.
- NSDC will monitor the training programs to ensure adherence to quality standards and overall functioning.
