Inauguration of First Skill India Centre in Odisha

On 20^th February, 2024, Union Minister inaugurated the first Skill India Centre in Sambalpur, Odisha.

• The Centre aims to empower over 1200 students in demand-driven industries.
• It offers low-cost courses to democratize access to quality education for aspiring youth.
• The initiative aligns with PM vision of empowering youth with new-age skills.
• Trades offered include Media & Entertainment, Leather, Tourism & Hospitality, and IT-ITeS.
• The Centre is equipped with modern infrastructure and technologies to catalyze skill development.
• NSDC will monitor the training programs to ensure adherence to quality standards and overall functioning.
