India-US INDUS-X Summit

The two-day INDUS-X Summit will be held from September 9-10, 2024, at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, focusing on fostering defence innovation partnerships between India and the US.
- The summit’s theme is "Harnessing Investment Opportunities to Enhance Cross-Border Defence Innovation Ecosystems," aiming to attract private capital to the defence sector.
- Leading defence policymakers from both Washington and New Delhi will participate, including startups, venture capitalists, academia, and industry professionals.
- The event will emphasize co-production opportunities and collaborative investment in defence innovation between American and Indian firms.
- The summit will include discussions on strengthening defence and advanced technology partnerships, enhancing resilient supply chains, and the role of venture capital in defence.
- INDUS-X, a symbol of the enhanced strategic and defence partnership between India and the US, was launched in June 2023 during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Washington.
- India and the US have signed several key defence pacts in recent years, including LEMOA, COMCASA, and BECA, boosting defence cooperation and technological exchange.
