India, Oman Conclude 'Naseem Al Bahr' Naval Exercise

The Indian Navy and Royal Navy of Oman successfully conducted the 'Naseem Al Bahr' joint naval exercise off Goa’s coast from 13-18 October 2024, strengthening mutual cooperation.

The exercise, held in two phases, included a harbour phase from October 13 to 15 and a sea phase from October 16 to 18, 2024, fostering enhanced professional interactions and joint operations.
Personnel from both navies participated in subject matter expert exchanges, planning conferences, sports fixtures, and social engagements during the harbour phase, deepening relationships and collaborative strategies.
During the sea phase, naval manoeuvres included gun firings at inflatable targets, anti-aircraft drills, and Replenishment at Sea Approaches (RASAPS), showcasing advanced naval capabilities and tactical interoperability.
The exercise achieved its objective of enhancing interoperability and mutual understanding, reaffirming India's commitment to strengthening maritime partnerships in the Indian Ocean Region, particularly with Oman.
