PM Inaugurates ‘Utkarsh Odisha’ Summit

On 27th January 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Utkarsh Odisha, Make-in-Odisha Conclave’ in Bhubaneswar, marking a pivotal step toward industrial and economic transformation in Odisha.

• The ‘Utkarsh Odisha’ Global Investment Summit aims to establish Odisha as a premier investment hub and a core player in the Purvodaya vision for Eastern India's development.
• The Odisha government targets investments worth over ₹5 lakh crore, with an expected job creation of 3.5 lakh opportunities through this two-day conclave.
• The state aims to secure its position among India's top five economic states by 2036 through robust industrial infrastructure and policy reforms.
• Over 7,000 delegates, including representatives from 12 countries, attended the event, showcasing global interest in Odisha’s industrial growth potential.
• Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi praised Prime Minister Modi for his developmental focus on Odisha, highlighting that this was his fifth visit in seven months, each bringing transformative initiatives.
