Indian Navy Conducts TROPEX-25 in Indian Ocean

The Indian Navy’s biennial Theatre Level Operational Exercise (TROPEX-25) is currently underway in the Indian Ocean Region from January to March, involving extensive participation from the Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
- TROPEX-25 involves around 65 Indian Navy ships, nine submarines, and over 80 aircraft, executing complex maritime operational scenarios to refine warfighting strategies.
- The exercise is conducted biennially and integrates all operational units of the Navy along with key assets from the Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
- The primary objective is to validate the Navy’s operational concepts and ensure a coordinated response to conventional, asymmetric, and hybrid maritime threats.
- The exercise includes multiple phases, both in harbour and at sea, covering combat operations, cyber and electronic warfare, live weapon firings, and amphibious exercises.
