India-Egypt Joint Military Drill ‘Cyclone 2025’

On 10th February 2025, the third edition of the India-Egypt joint military exercise, ‘Cyclone 2025’, commenced at the Mahajan Field Firing Range in Rajasthan, aiming to enhance defence cooperation and interoperability in desert warfare.
- The 14-day exercise focuses on counter-terrorism operations, reconnaissance, raids, and specialized missions, improving the combat capabilities of both nations' special forces.
 - The drill involves advanced military techniques such as sniping, combat free fall, reconnaissance, surveillance, and target designation, enhancing tactical skills in desert warfare scenarios.
 - India and Egypt have deepened military ties in recent years, emphasizing security collaboration and strategic defence cooperation to counter common threats.
