New Portal Launched for State Financial Data

On 2nd April 2025, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched the "NITI NCAER States Economic Forum" portal to provide comprehensive financial data on Indian states.

  • The portal, developed by NITI Aayog and NCAER, offers data on social, economic, and fiscal parameters from 1990-91 to 2022-23.
  • FM emphasized that the platform ensures authentic and accessible financial data to support state-level policy decisions.
  • The portal aims to help states improve revenue management, make informed interventions, and learn from best practices.
