‘VM Frames’ Filmmaking Competition

On 22nd April 2026, the Ministry of Culture launched the “VM Frames” National Filmmaking Competition to mark 150 years of Vande Mataram.

- The competition invites citizens to creatively interpret the spirit of the National Song through visual storytelling.
- It aims to promote national pride and reconnect people with India’s cultural and freedom heritage.
- The initiative encourages filmmakers and creators to reimagine Vande Mataram in contemporary formats.
- It is open under three categories: Reels, AI-based Films, and Short Films.
- Awards worth up to 50 lakh rupees will be given across various categories.
- The last date for submission is the 7th May 2026.
