West Bengal Joined NeVA Initiative

On 4th June 2026, the West Bengal Legislative Assembly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the implementation of the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA).

West Bengal is the 33rd legislature in India to adopt the digital governance platform.
NeVA, a Mission Mode Project of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, aims to digitize legislative functioning through a common digital platform.
It seeks to promote paperless governance, transparency, efficiency and accessibility in legislative proceedings.
The platform will enable electronic handling of legislative business, including notices, questions, bills, reports and other Assembly documents.
