On November 6, 2026, Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang unveiled the logo and official website of the ‘Institute for Transforming Sikkim’ (ITS) at Mintokgang in Gangtok.
Key Facts
- Nature of the Institution: ITS is a multidisciplinary policy think tank of the Government of Sikkim aimed at providing strategic direction to the state’s long-term development plans.
- Key Functions: The institute will promote evidence-based policymaking, research, innovation, monitoring of development schemes, and outcome-oriented governance.
- Development Vision: The institute will help realize the vision of ‘Sunaulo, Samriddha ani Samartha Sikkim’ (Golden, Prosperous, and Capable Sikkim).
- Technical Development: The logo and website of ITS were designed and developed by the Department of Information Technology, Government of Sikkim.
