- World Meteorological Day is observed on 23rd March to spread awareness about the behaviour of the Earth's atmosphere and our role in protecting it.
- The Day marks the foundational anniversary of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The WMO was founded seven decades ago and lists weather, climate, water, and environment as the primary aspects.
- The intergovernmental organisation currently has 193 countries as its member states.
- The theme for this year’s observation is 'Early Warning and Early Action'.
