On 7th March, 2024, Prime Minister will inaugurate tourism projects in Srinagar and launch the Chalo India Global Diaspora Campaign.

  • People’s Choice Tourist Destination Poll: The PM will unveil the Dekho Apna Desh People’s Choice Tourist Destination Poll.
  • Challenge-Based Destination Development (CBDD): Under the CBDD scheme announced in the Union Budget 2023-24, 42 tourist destinations will be announced across four categories: culture and heritage, spiritual, eco-tourism, and vibrant village.
  • Destination Categories: The 42 destinations include 16 in culture and heritage, 11 in spiritual, 10 in eco-tourism and Amrit Dharohar, and five in vibrant village categories.
