Gagan Shakti

On 1st April, Indian Air Force initiated 10-day Gagan Shakti war exercise to test capabilities, with logistical support from Indian Army.

• Exercise to be held at various locations including Pokhran Field Firing Range in Jaisalmer.
• Indian Army facilitates movement of approximately 10,000 IAF personnel and ammunition to validate Operational Rail Mobilisation Plan (ORMP).
• 12 passenger trains provided by Indian Army for comprehensive pan-India movement, named Sanyukta Express to signify inter-services camaraderie.
• Movement Control Organisations (MCOs) ensure liaison and support, monitoring train movement en route.
• Gagan Shakti, largest IAF war exercise since Vayu Shakti, to take place in Bhuj, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, and other areas.
