- 03 Oct 2024

On 2nd October 2024, Telangana became the first state in India to launch a chapter of NITI Aayog's Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs across various sectors.
- The WEP Telangana Chapter was inaugurated in Hyderabad by NITI Aayog CEO with a focus on fostering entrepreneurship among women through customised support in digital skills, financial access, mentorship, and market linkages.
 - WE Hub, India’s first women-exclusive incubation centre, will manage the platform in Telangana, leveraging its vast network and expertise in empowering women entrepreneurs.
 - Telangana's proven track record in supporting Self Help Groups (SHGs) and its innovation ecosystem led to its selection as the first state chapter for WEP, with ‘WE Bridge’ serving as a single-window platform for women entrepreneurs.
