NCERT Partners with Flipkart for Accessibility

On 16th December 2024, NCERT has signed an MoU with e-commerce platform, Flipkart, to ensure seamless and affordable delivery of textbooks across India, focusing on reaching students in smaller cities.

The agreement aims to make NCERT publications easily accessible and affordable to students nationwide, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Union Education Minister presided over the event, emphasizing the importance of delivering textbooks directly to learners’ doorsteps to bridge regional accessibility gaps.
Highlighting NCERT’s significance, minister called it a cornerstone of the Indian education system and a crucial institution responsible for shaping future generations.
Minister praised ongoing initiatives such as NISHTHA teachers’ training modules and experiential learning centres supported by private companies, aiming to enhance teacher capabilities.
The collaboration will ensure efficient distribution of quality educational materials, enabling better access for students and reducing the burden of sourcing textbooks.
