NCERT Partners with Flipkart for Accessibility

On 16th December 2024, NCERT has signed an MoU with e-commerce platform, Flipkart, to ensure seamless and affordable delivery of textbooks across India, focusing on reaching students in smaller cities.
- The agreement aims to make NCERT publications easily accessible and affordable to students nationwide, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
- Union Education Minister presided over the event, emphasizing the importance of delivering textbooks directly to learners’ doorsteps to bridge regional accessibility gaps.
- Highlighting NCERT’s significance, minister called it a cornerstone of the Indian education system and a crucial institution responsible for shaping future generations.
- Minister praised ongoing initiatives such as NISHTHA teachers’ training modules and experiential learning centres supported by private companies, aiming to enhance teacher capabilities.
- The collaboration will ensure efficient distribution of quality educational materials, enabling better access for students and reducing the burden of sourcing textbooks.
