On 7th January 2025, Union Home Minister inaugurated the BHARATPOL portal in New Delhi, enhancing real-time coordination among law enforcement agencies.
- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has developed the BHARATPOL portal to strengthen international cooperation in criminal investigations.
 - The platform will facilitate seamless communication between law enforcement agencies across central, state, and union territories.
 - By enabling quicker access to INTERPOL assistance, the portal will expedite the issuance of Red Notices and other vital international notices.
 - This initiative addresses the rising threats of transnational crimes, including cybercrime, financial fraud, human trafficking, and organized crime.
 - BHARATPOL aims to modernize communication by replacing outdated methods like letters and faxes with efficient digital solutions.
 - Field-level police officers will benefit from this platform’s tools for tackling crimes and addressing security challenges.
