Sant Kabirdas Jayanti 2025

On 11th June 2025, Sant Kabirdas Jayanti, also known as Kabir Prakat Diwas, is being observed, marking the 648th birth anniversary of the 15th-century poet-saint and social reformer.

Sant Kabir Das is celebrated for his deep spiritual insights, powerful poetry, and fearless critique of religious dogma, which left a lasting impact on Indian society.
His poetic works—mainly in the form of bhajans and dohas—advocated for religious harmony, social equality, and personal devotion over ritualistic practice.
Major works attributed to Kabir include Bijak, Sakhi Granth, Kabir Granthavali, and Anurag Sagar, which continue to influence spiritual thought in India.
A significant portion of Kabir’s verses were compiled by Guru Arjan Dev, the fifth Sikh Guru, and enshrined in the Guru Granth Sahib.
Kabir is believed to have been born in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, with traditions suggesting he was raised by a Muslim weaver, embodying India’s syncretic spiritual heritage.
Kabir Ke Dohe, his succinct two-line couplets, remain deeply popular for their simple language and profound philosophical truths.
