Phase 2 of NAKSHA Urban Survey Training Begins

On 16th June 2025, the second batch of Phase 2 of the National Geospatial Knowledge-Based Land Survey of Urban Habitations (NAKSHA) Capacity Building Programme was virtually launched by the Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development.

  • District and Urban Local Body (ULB)-level officers will undergo a week-long, hands-on training.
  • The programme is being conducted at four Centres of Excellence — Pune, Guwahati, Chandigarh, and Mysuru.
  • The training focuses on equipping officers with geospatial technology skills to conduct high-accuracy urban property surveys.
  • The programme promotes efficient land management and urban planning using modern geospatial tools.
