IndiaAI and National Cancer Grid Launch CATCH Grant Program

On 8th August 2025, IndiaAI Independent Business Division (IBD), in collaboration with the National Cancer Grid (NCG), announced the launch of the Cancer AI & Technology Challenge (CATCH) Grant Program to boost AI-driven solutions in cancer screening, diagnostics, treatment, and healthcare operations across India.

Key Points

Funding Support: Up to Rs. 50 lakh per project for pilot deployment, co-funded by IndiaAI and NCG; successful pilots may receive an additional Rs. 1 crore for scale-up and nationwide implementation.
Deployment Focus: Selected projects will be piloted within the NCG hospital network, with opportunities for wider adoption based on clinical impact and readiness.
Innovation Areas: Priority categories include AI-enabled screening, diagnostics, clinical decision support, patient engagement, operational efficiency, research, and data curation.
Eligibility: Startups, health tech companies, academic institutions, and public or private hospitals can apply; joint applications from clinical and technical leads are encouraged.
Selection Criteria: Up to 10 proposals to be chosen based on technical maturity, feasibility, and alignment with healthcare delivery needs.
Responsible AI: Emphasis on ethical AI development, clinical validation, and applicability in Indian healthcare settings.
