DRDO Conclave Boosts MSME Role in Defence R&D

On 6th September 2025, the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) Defence Technology and Test Centre (DTTC), Lucknow, organised a conclave at its Amausi campus to engage micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and start-ups in defence research, development, and production, strengthening the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor initiative.
- The conclave witnessed participation from over 100 representatives of MSMEs, start-ups, and Laghu Udhyog Bharti, who discussed avenues for collaboration with DRDO in research and production.
- Key topics of discussion included skill development, R&D funding, technical consultancy, and technology development and transfer, with a view to promoting self-reliance in defence manufacturing.
- The DRDO Chairman encouraged MSMEs to take advantage of industry-centric policies and available technologies, assuring them of full support from DRDO in their innovation efforts.
