Indian Army Conducts Exercise Siyom Prahar

On 10th September 2025, the Indian Army successfully concluded Exercise Siyom Prahar, a three-day major field training exercise held from September 8–10 to validate the employment of drone technology in modern tactical operations.

  • The exercise was conducted under realistic battlefield conditions, showcasing the Army’s commitment to integrating unmanned aerial systems into tactical and operational levels of warfare
  • Drones were deployed for persistent surveillance, battlefield reconnaissance, target acquisition, and precision strikes, highlighting their growing role in enhancing combat effectiveness.
  • The central focus was on developing and validating new Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for future battlefields by fusing drone-derived intelligence with conventional firepower.
  • The training emphasised refining joint targeting processes and enabling rapid decision-making in dynamic combat environments, ensuring operational adaptability.
