World Food India 2025 to Showcase India’s Food Sector

On 25th September 2025, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) inaugurated the fourth edition of World Food India at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, highlighting India’s emergence as a global food hub.

  • Launched in 2017, World Food India serves as a flagship international platform to promote India’s food processing sector and attract global investment, with the 2025 edition expected to be the largest so far.
  • India’s processed food exports have grown from 13.7% of agricultural exports in 2014–15 to 20.4% in 2024–25, with total agricultural and processed food exports reaching USD 49.4 billion, driven by infrastructure, policy support, and rising global demand.
  • Over the past decade, India has attracted USD 7.33 billion in foreign direct investment equity inflows into its food processing sector, reflecting international confidence in the country’s capabilities and growth potential.
