  • 26 Sep 2025

On 25th September 2025, the United Arab Emirates unveiled its first Sovereign Mobility Cloud at the Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport, marking a milestone in the country’s autonomous mobility strategy and digital infrastructure development.

  • The Sovereign Mobility Cloud, enabled by Core42’s Sovereign Public Cloud and powered by Microsoft Azure, provides a secure digital foundation for next-generation transportation while ensuring all data remains within the UAE under national regulations.
  • The platform is designed to accelerate autonomous mobility initiatives by supporting high-definition mapping, telematics, fleet operations, traffic management, and digital twins to create a collaborative ecosystem for government, industry, and research institutions.
  • By providing regulatory sandboxes and test hubs, the cloud enables innovation in autonomous transport through safe experimentation, pilot programs, and commercial rollouts guided by compliance with national standards.
  • Microsoft and Core42 are supplying the cloud infrastructure and technical expertise required for sovereign-enabled operations, while Space42 will lead the deployment of the platform through hands-on trials and integration with ongoing mobility projects.
