UK Named Partner Country for Hornbill Festival

On 18th November 2025, the Government of Nagaland announced that the United Kingdom will serve as the official country partner for the Hornbill Festival 2025, scheduled from 1 to 10 December at Kisama, Kohima.

  • The partnership was formalised through an agreement signed by Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and British Council Country Director Alison Barrett in New Delhi, in the presence of British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron and senior officials from both sides.
  • Under the collaboration, the British Council, along with the British Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, will curate diverse cultural and artistic programming for the Hornbill Festival, including inviting a UK-based artist to participate.
  • The Nagaland government also announced Air India Express as the Official Travel Partner, strengthening festival logistics and improving accessibility for visitors travelling to the state.
