India hosted the 2nd Regional Open Digital Health Summit (RODHS) 2025 (19th -21st November 2025) in New Delhi, bringing South-East Asian countries together to advance Universal Health Coverage (UHC) through Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and open standards.

Roadmaps for Scalable Digital Health Systems
- The Summit aims to strengthen regional cooperation and develop country-specific roadmaps for scalable digital health systems that support universal health coverage (UHC), health security, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), building on the momentum of the inaugural summit held in Nairobi.
Interoperable Digital Health Platforms
- The summit empowered technical skills across the region, enabling participants to deploy interoperable digital health platforms.
India’s Digital Public Infrastructure
- India’s Digital Public Infrastructure- Aadhaar, UPI, CoWIN, ABDM - demonstrated how scalable digital public goods benefited society.
- India's CoWIN and ABDM were highlighted as examples of India’s strong leadership in building DPI-based health solutions, while UNICEF emphasised child rights and data protection. Participants agreed that the future of digital health in the Global South depended on open, standards-based, child-focused systems supported by DPI.
