Assam Cabinet Approves ₹250 Crore for Bodoland

On 18th December 2025, the Assam Cabinet approved the release of ₹250 crore to the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) under the State-Owned Priority Development Fund (Rural) for the financial year 2025–26.
- The funds will be utilised for rural infrastructure and priority development projects across BTC areas, focusing on connectivity, livelihoods and basic civic amenities.
- The Cabinet said targeted financial support to the Bodoland region is crucial for sustaining peace, accelerating development and ensuring inclusive growth following the Bodoland Territorial Region Accord.
