On 27 December 2025, 18-year-old Mumbai-based adventurer Kaamya Karthikeyan created history by becoming the youngest Indian and the second-youngest woman in the world to ski to the South Pole.

  • Kaamya Karthikeyan successfully completed a 115-kilometre ski journey to the South Pole, enduring extreme Antarctic conditions.
  • During the expedition, she faced temperatures dropping to -30°C, icy winds, and physically demanding terrain while pulling her own sled.
