Gujarat Launches 182 New State Transport Buses

On 18th March 2026, the Gujarat government launched 182 new state transport buses.
- The buses were flagged off in Gandhinagar by CM Bhupendra Patel.
- One bus has been allocated to each Assembly constituency.
- The initiative aims to improve last-mile connectivity across the state.
- It focuses on enhancing transport access in rural and underserved areas.
- The new buses are part of fleet modernisation efforts.
- The total cost of the 182 buses is around ₹62 crore.
- Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) operates over 8,000 buses daily across Gujarat.
- It covers nearly 33 lakh kilometres every day.
