Marshal Arjan Singh

On 15th April 2026, Indian Air Force paid tribute to Arjan Singh on his 107th birth anniversary.

Arjan Singh was the first and only officer of the IAF to be awarded the five-star rank of Marshal in 2002.
He led the Indian Air Force during the India-Pakistan War of 1965, showcasing exceptional leadership.
He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his role in the Burma campaign during World War II.
Known for “leading from the cockpit,” he inspired generations of air warriors through his courage and foresight.
The Ministry of Defence also honoured his legacy, highlighting his strategic vision and contributions to the nation.
His life remains a symbol of dedication, leadership, and service in India’s military history.
