Han Seong-sook

On 7th June 2026, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung nominated Han Seong-sook as the country's next Prime Minister.

If confirmed by the National Assembly, Han Seong-sook will become the first female Prime Minister under the Lee administration and the second woman to hold the post in South Korea.
She would be the second female Prime Minister after Han Myeong-sook, who served from 2006 to 2007.
Han currently serves as Minister of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the Lee administration.
